provided at no additional charge as part of the regular processing.
My court requires Identity Verification, What does this mean?
The Counties of Stanislaus, Glenn, Napa, Lake, Lassen, Ventura, Tulare and Santa Cruz require all students to have their identities
verified prior to taking their final examination. Customers cited in Ventura, Lassen, & Lake will be offered a choice to use Web Cam software to verify their identities
or they can opt to have their identities verified through the a credit bureau. Coordinated Court Services (CCS)
will utilize the credit bureau Experian to verify identities by accessing a limited check of the
students' credit history while online. The check will not count against the
students' credit history nor will any of the information accessed be stored
or viewed by anyone other than Experian. The student will be asked to enter
personal information that will prompt several questions about their history.
There will be an additional $5 fee for both the Web Cam or Credit Bureau services.
If you do not wish to have your
identity verified online or do not agree to the fee you may print out your final exam
and have it notarized by a notary public. Once you are ready for the final exam
and taken to the the CCS website you will be apprised of this process.
For Stansislaus & Tulare counties you will need to have your printed exam notarized by a notary public and then you
will fax your exam to us for grading and processing. Detailed instructions are provided during registration and within the course area.
